Professional Credentials

I am a Licensed Mental health Counselor (LMHC). I hold a Bachelor of the Arts in Comparative Literature from Oberlin College, and a Masters Degree in Expressive Arts Therapies and Clinical Counseling from Lesley University.

I am Level 2 trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) counseling and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a somatic approach to healing and growth.

I also have a background in studio arts, jewelry craft, yoga and dance, as well as international education development. I began my mental health career in day treatment and community mental health, where I still work alongside my private practice.  This diverse experience informs my practice, along with mindfulness, and existential psychodynamic counseling.

What draws me to this work?

I am interested in people and believe that everyone has the capacity to heal and grow. Therapeutic work is more than a job for me, it is a calling. It is both an art and a science. When I am not in the office, I enjoy a wide range of arts activities including jewelry making, and dance. I bring that creative, artistic eye to our interpersonal work and celebrate the diverse ways people have of being in the world.

I am interested in what it means to live both richly and sustainably, for mind, body, and spirit. How do we weather the inevitable ups and downs of life? I am honored to help and witness as individuals find ways to take root in their own lives, better understand their own way of being, and come to feel more fully alive in each moment.
